The tousled side ponytail at the Etro Spring Summer 2016 show during Milan Fashion Week definitely had its moment. After men bun, is this the next hair trend in men’s fashion? What say?

Etro S/S 2016: Menswear: Masculine yet Elegant : Milan Fashion Week

Keeping it multicultural, Etro’s spring- summer 2015 collection offered its signature paisley and floral motifs in an array of pieces ranging from jacquard topcoats and shirts to trousers. The ornate patterns were reminiscent of Aboriginal prints and were beautifully infused with the story of the collection.

Leather jackets and shorts, collarless and slim lapel jackets were an interesting addition to this summer offering. With a colour palette of pastel and pretty pink and fabrics such as chiffon and silk the new Etro man does not shy away from embracing his elegance.

Aishwarya goes completely wrong in gothic black at Prix de Diane Longines, France: “Sack the Stylist”

Awful! A serious case of Sack the Stylist moment! The Longine’s brand ambassador, Aishwarya Rai donned a Victorian gothic look while attending the Prix de Diane Longines in Chantilly today. I wonder what made her wear this ghastly straight out of the theatre look. And, what was her stylist trying to do?

First of all, the all black look does not complement the essence of the glamorous day time event. Secondly, the makeup, the hat, the mismatched nail colour – just inappropriate and in no way accentuates Aishwarya’s beauty. Experimenting with fashion is fun, and is required, but making it unpleasant, without any dash of creativity is not acceptable. What do you have to say? Do you like?

The modelling industry is extremely unpredictable and notoriously difficult to get into. There are plenty of models who come and go every day. In this ever competitive industry only a very few can survive and are able to make a mark for themselves. It becomes all the more difficult for a non white model to compete in an international fashion circuit, especially when more than half of the models are white. Indian Models like Ujjwala Raut and Lakshmi Menon were the first ones to break all the ethnic stereotypes in a global fashion scene, setting a new benchmark.

It is wonderful to see how a new breed of Indian origin models are becoming the rising faces and have grabbed the right kind of attention with their great looks, poise, impressive work and electrifying presence. And, yes, to a certain extent these fresh faces are addressing the industry’s diversity issues too. Bruce Jenner is Caitlyn Jenner Now

Bruce Jenner, the Olympic gold medalist who was lauded as one of the greatest sportsman on earth has unveiled himself as a woman on the cover of the Vanity Fair. Shot by legendry photographer Annie Lebovitz, Bruce is renamed as Caitlyn on the cover of the magazine. This is the first time Caitlyn is photographed for a magazine post her complete gender transition surgery from male to female and tells her story to the world in a very intimate interaction with Pulitzer Prize winning author and editor Buzz Bissinger.

From President Obama to Lady Gaga; everyone tweeted in favour of Caitlyn, lauding her courageous move. “It takes courage to share your story,” Obama tweeted. Lady Gaga tweeted, “Caitlyn Jenner, thanku for being a part of all of our lives & using your platform to change people's minds. The beauty on the inside is now also on the outside. God bless you and the whole family for sharing it with us”.

The Story of a stylish Bag:“Travel, Style Aur Bagwati”

Inspired by the colours, cultural diversity and beautiful madness of a country called India, stylist Surbhi Goswami took up an interesting and a very unique project revolving around the story of a bag named “Bagwati”. Yes, you read it right - the story of a bag.

Titled, “Travel, Style aur Bagwati”, Surbhi kick started her journey with her muse from Delhi, and then travelled to other states in India, including Kolkata in West Bengal, Shillong in Meghalaya ,Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, Mcleodganj in Himachal Pradesh, and Gokarna in Karnataka, just to name a few - and styled her bag according to the culture and traditional garbs of that particular region. Through her bag, she brought together a stylish amalgamation of fashion and culture, lifestyle and tradition and travel and tourism that beautifully captures and celebrates the essence of today’s India.
